Dawn Yeskulsky

VP Business Development & Partner Programs

“Teach your daughters to worry less about fitting into glass slippers and more about shattering glass ceilings." Melissa Marchonna

Dawn’s extensive career within the vacation rental industry started immediately after college with Paragon Group Properties in Tampa, FL. She was an IT major in college but needing a job right after graduation, took a job with Paragon Group until she found her “real” IT job. Who knew then that one temporary job would take Dawn in a much different career path, eventually becoming Rental Manager overseeing 200 units in the Tampa Bay, FL area. In 1996 she left Paragon Group, and spent the next 14 years as Director of Sales and Marketing for vacation rental software provider, Rental Network Software Corp. In 2010 Dawn joined the Ascent Processing team and has served as Divisional Director of Sales, Director of Business Development & Partner Relations, and now as Vice President - Business Development & Partner Programming. "My 20+ years of experience in the vacation rental/lodging industry, and the benefit of working on the payment processing side, software/technology side and on the Rental Managers side, allows me to fully understand the complexity of the industry and make sure we provide the most knowledgeable support to our clients and partners.” Dawn heads up the growth path for Ascent, as well as creating and maintaining partnership programs with our many industry partners. Dawn lives in San Clemente, CA with her husband, 11-year-old twins girls and 6-year-old son. She is an avid wine enthusiast with a pretty darn impressive collection.

Michael Charalambous

Michael Charalambous

VP of Sales & Marketing

“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” Michael Jordan

Michael was born and raised in Southern California but his parents immigrated to the US from the island of Cyprus and instilled in him a strong work ethic and family values. Growing up, Michael was an avid basketball player in high school and college. He was even offered to play professional basketball in Greece but had to turn it down. Since then he focused his career direction in Sales. In 2006 Michael joined the Vacation Rental Industry where he gained experience in OTA Distribution, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Travel Insurance. In 2016 Michael made the leap to Payment Processing and in January 2017 became Ascent’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing where his passion for helping people, coaching, and seeing people succeed makes him an invaluable leader.

Michael also enjoys spending time with his wife and twin boys attending summer music concerts, visiting museums and parks, and relaxing on the beach.

Christine Maltese

Christine Maltese

Controller/HR Director

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how to you made them feel.” Maya Angelou

Christine joined the Ascent family in 2016 after spending 20 years working for a top Vacation Rental Manager. She loves helping people solve problems, making them smile, and she has been able to bring that unique perspective to her role as Controller and Director of Human Resources.

Having grown-up in southeast Florida where riding your bike to the beach was the norm and vacationing meant visiting family up north or going to Disney World, Christine was awe-struck the first time she visited the mountains and discovered a love of hiking which ultimately led to her moving full time to the mountains.

When Christine isn’t working, she still enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors but also loves reading and watching Sci-Fi movies with her teenage boys.

Missy Zak

Missy Zak

Marketing & Account Management

“Music has this way of reaching across cultural lines, national lines, the lines of religion or language…it can reach into people’s hearts and create awakening. Everyone deserves music, sweet music.” Michael Franti

Missy is a proud native of the Gulf Coast, passionate about her family, the beach, and traveling for live music. She lived in 13 states before returning to her parent’s hometown of Mobile, Alabama to finish high school and graduate from the University of South Alabama with a major in Communications/Public Relations. Living along the Gulf of Mexico, Missy fell in love with the beautiful natural habitat and abundant resources. She even volunteered at the Dauphin Island Estuarium to share her knowledge of marine life, estuaries, rivers, the Delta and what we need to do to respect and protect them. Missy also loves to cook so she could show you how to prepare the seafood you caught that day!

Missy worked for an advertising agency that allowed her to work with clients that focused on travel, and that eventually led her to 10 rewarding years with Meyer Vacation Rentals in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She loved convincing people to reconnect with their family and friends. Missy also takes her own advice, and she and her daughter Jameson love traveling to see concerts and festivals, and have even taken music cruises to Jamaica and Mexico.

The most exciting part of Missy’s job at Ascent Processing is that she is able to help Vacation Rental Managers and Lodging Partners save time and resources – no matter the size of their company. Ascent ensures each company’s needs are met with a customized solution. This allows Ascent to focus on providing the highest level of service, security and savings for our merchants, while they focus on running their business and creating memories for their guests to last a lifetime.

Melanie Taylor Spaulding

Melanie Taylor Spaulding

Account Executive

“My life will not be measured by the breaths I take, but the moments that take my breath.” Anonymous

Melanie was born and raised in Alabama in a small area called Chulafinnee, a Creek word meaning “pine log crossing”. Even though you’ve never heard of Chulafinnee, it was once the largest town in Alabama. She attended Jacksonville State University, and changed her major at least 6 times until going back to her first choice: biology.

She began working at the age of 12 for her father’s company, Taylor Corporation. This glorious first job consisted of answering the phone, filing, and cleaning the office. Melanie worked part-time there until she finished high school, and worked in various retail sales jobs afterwards. She ended up working for her father again years later, as the Director of Sales and Operations at his industrial waste landfill. At the same time, she developed an interest in “doctoring” trees, and obtained a State of Alabama pesticide license to be able to use systemic tree injections, which is environmentally friendly. She treated trees affected by malnutrition, bacterial and fungal infections, and insect infestations. A “by chance” encounter in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida led her to her current role at Ascent Processing.

Melanie has a love for travel, culture and biology. She once flew to California for one day just to go on a great white shark dive, and missed her boat when the hotel alarm clock malfunctioned. She can usually be found spending time with her family, botanizing with her husband, or catching reptiles and amphibians. It is not uncommon to see pictures of her with a snake in her hand. Melanie also loves gardening, cooking, sewing, and crocheting. Think Jane Goodall meets Susie Homemaker.
She and her husband Dan have four girls and a boy, ranging in age from college to a toddler.

Jared Buck

Jared Buck

Account Executive

“I believe Success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination” Zig Ziglar

Jared was raised in Bend, Oregon and has loved being surrounded by the outdoors for as long as he can remember. Nature is Jared’s second home, as he grew up riding bikes in the woods, camping, floating the river in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Jared is currently living in Texas, exploring what a new area of the country has to offer, but he plans to be back in Oregon very soon.

Jared joined the Ascent team so that he could make a difference in people’s businesses by helping solve their issues in the payment processing industry.

John Stokinger

John Stokinger

Account Executive

“A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing, and coercion are fruitless. We find that after years of struggle that we do not take a trip; a trip takes us.” John Steinbeck

A New Englander by both birth and through his schooling, John has now lived all across the United States. He currently resides right outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee with his wife Misty Rae and their four amazing children. As a family, they enjoy travelling and experiencing life with a hands-on approach. John is just as much at home either at the beach or in the mountains. You can find him hiking and mountain biking throughout most of the year and skiing and snowboarding in the winter.

Before coming to work for Ascent Processing, John spent four years in the Active Army, owned his own web design and development company, and worked in sales/business development roles for various companies.
John came to Ascent with a drive to help grow the company in the right direction through honesty and integrity. “Together we are going to build something amazing!”

Kieri Olmstead

Kieri Olmstead

Account Executive

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Kieri Olmstead is an intentional human being who has a wealth of experience in growing business via relationship building and solution finding for clients. After spending nearly a decade working in sales and marketing, Kieri knows what truly drives clients to a product—and it’s not having the best sales pitch. It’s how well you connect with the heart-beating people you’re trying to help and communicate your understanding back to them.

Kieri has a background in psychology and is finishing her master’s in marriage and family therapy, so she knows a thing or two about people. A conversation with her about your business will never seem impersonal, as she will find a way to keep the relationship human and authentic. Outside of the office you may find her with her daughter and husband visiting family in Arizona, or rooting for the Nebraska Huskers at a football game.

Brett Wright

Brett Wright

Technical Relationship Manager

“Here’s to Life!” Roger Clyne

Brett joined Ascent in February 2015, following a 7-year career in Merchant Services and Business Banking with one of the largest financial institutions in the United States. He originally started with Ascent as a Relationship Manager, and quickly transitioned to his current role as Technical Relationship Manager. Every day, Brett inherits bigger and better experiences, which allows him to grow alongside the amazing company that is Ascent.

Originally hailing from the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, Brett has also called Georgia and New Hampshire home, before discovering the beauty of Colorado. This mix of cultures, combined with other various travels, has given him a broad perspective on life, which he brings to the table every day. Brett married his partner (and best friend) in January 2017, which he proudly calls his greatest achievement so far in life. When he’s not providing stellar service to Ascent’s loyal clients, he enjoys concerts, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time at home with their miniature “zoo” – two dogs, and two cats.

Stacey Edlund

Stacey Edlund

Relationship Manager & Client Onboarding Specialist

“Be kind whenever possible – it’s always possible.” Dalai Lama

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Stacey started her career right out of high school in the mortgage industry where she spent 14 years helping people reach their dreams of home ownership. With the housing market declining, she took a leap of faith and changed careers by joining a small start-up company in Boulder that provided software solutions in the events industry. She spent the next 10 years learning all areas of operations, development, and account management, but continued to focus on all things customer-support related, along with developing others and helping them grow their careers. As with most startups, the company went through a few acquisitions, which eventually landed her at a payment processing company. This role reconnected her with old friends, and eventually led her to Ascent. Stacey immediately felt right at home, and says her favorite part about joining Ascent is working with an amazing team that shares the same goals and desire to provide the best support possible to our clients!

Being a Colorado native you will find her enjoying all things outside, especially hiking the beautiful trails in the Rocky Mountains. She is recently an empty-nester, which has allowed her and her husband to travel more. They try to hit a new city every 6 months, usually with friends in tow. So far they have ventured to Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, and San Diego and can’t wait to see how many other destinations they can conquer!

Regina Ebert

Regina Ebert

Principal/CEO

“Love What You Do and Do What You Love.” Ray Bradburry

Being raised in a family that emigrated from the Czech Republic taught Regina to be grateful for all the opportunities and gifts that her life has been blessed with.

After working in the Payment Processing Industry for a small company in Boulder, CO, Regina fortunately realized at a young age, that focusing on the Vacation Rental and Lodging space was her true passion. Meeting kindred spirits that successfully added value to their companies and communities, while enjoying the vacation destinations they called home, gave her the inspiration to start Ascent. The challenges of payment acceptance for our industry 25 years ago, as well as today, continues to drive us to offer the strongest program to our clients and partners.

The opportunity to enjoy a life that combines a fulfilling and valuable career, travel (which she’s often called “work”), the outdoors, and most importantly all the friendships created along the way, makes Regina excited and thankful for tomorrow.

DeAnna Constant

DeAnna Constant

Principal/COO and CFO

"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." Albert Einstein

DeAnna first dipped her toe into the Payment Processing industry by managing risk for one of the first merchant service providers almost 25 years ago. Her payments expertise and passion expanded quickly and her responsibilities widened to include compliance, underwriting, chargebacks, interchange, client support, technical strategy, payments M&A, data analysis, and financial mitigation. DeAnna is a true industry pioneer, working directly with Visa and technology partners to customize programs to better support the Vacation Rental industry. She has helped many clients grow their businesses by providing the higher standards and security they deserve.

A native of Boulder, Colorado, DeAnna has always been curious and adventurous. Although she stayed close to home attending the University of Colorado, she has always loved traveling. It was her love for travel, adventure, and white glove service that lead her to Ascent so she could combine her passions to help clients navigate the complex payment space, freeing them up to enjoy their own traveling adventures.

DeAnna is most relaxed living at 7800 feet above sea level in the mountains west of Boulder. When she isn’t working or traveling, she enjoys reading, carefully selecting her next travel destination, witty and well-executed sci-fi, hiking with her two pups, or endeavoring to train them both to live harmoniously with mountain wildlife. Often they are greeted on hikes by moose, bears, foxes, elk, or wild turkeys so with two small puppies, this is no small feat! DeAnna strives to live a conscious, purposeful life and continually finds herself grateful for the opportunities working in our industry has presented, and for the people at Ascent and partnered with Ascent who are able to turn those opportunities into unparalleled service and support for the alternative accommodation space.
